SCOPE OF WORK
3.1 Vendor shall be responsible for the design, supply of materials, fabrication, provision of drawings and data, shop assembling, shop inspection and tests, mechanical guarantee, painting, packing, transportation and satisfactory operation of the entire unit to the extent of the Vendor’s supply.
3.2 Purchaser’s approval shall in no way be construed as relieving Vendor of any of his obligation, responsibilities under the CONTRACT and/ or applicable codes and standards.
Should Purchaser fail to comment, or only partially comment, upon Vendor document, this shall not be construed as an acceptance of the content of such document unless expressly provided otherwise.
3.3 The scope of work for the equipment shall include, but not be limited to the following:
- Mechanical guarantee
- Performance guarantee
- Sub- vendor coordination
- Painting including finish coat in accordance with project specification
- Pre- inspection meeting, if requested by Client and/ or Purchaser
- Shop inspection and tests as per data sheets & specifications
- Rust prevention for storage
- All documents and certificates for Iranian Government approval as required
- Preparation for shipment
- Marking, packing and transportation
3.4 Diesel Engine Driven Firewater Pump Units (130- P- 102 B/C)
The scope of supply for the diesel engine driven firewater pump sets shall include, but not be limited to the following:
- Firewater centrifugal pump complete with components/ accessories
- Diesel engine complete with the following;
Cooling water system
- Lube oil system
- Fuel system
- Starting system including Nickel-cadmium batteries, batteries charger, rack etc.
- Air inlet system
- Exhaust system including expansion joints and spark arresting muffler (loose supply)
- Anti-vibration mounts installed under the engine
- Governor
- Fuel day tank with access ladder, level switch/ gauge and etc.
- Coupling and non- sparking guard
- Fabrication steel skid to extend under the pump and engine train components
- Pressure switch (to be mounted on local panel)
- Check valve with orifice in clapper (2 sets per each pump) for pressure sensing line
- Relief valve and closed waste cone with flow indicator (loose supply)
- Automatic air release valve
- Flanged venturi tube flow meter (loose supply)
- Skid mounted local panel
- Diesel engine gauge board, engine mounted
- Electrical system within the package limits
- Instrumentation and controls within the package limits. All conditions of package type B shall be
covered. - All the required electrical and instrumentation termination junction boxes and/ or LP for connection of incoming, and all the interconnecting wiring and cable trays within the skid limits
- All fixtures such as cable glands, shrouds, etc.
- Equipment earthing by externally accessible earthing plates
- Auxiliary piping (sealing, lubrication, cooling, etc.) and supports within the skid limits
- Process, auxiliary and relief valves within the package limits.
- All inlet, outlet, utility, vent and drain connections flanged and extended to terminate at skid edge
- Bolting and gaskets for all flanges within vendor’s scope of supply
- Foundation bolts/ nuts / washers (hot dip galvanized)
- Nameplates for main/ auxiliary equipment
- Shim plates for shaft alignment at site
- Lifting lugs for installation and maintenance
- Touch- up paint for field repair works
- Spare parts for erection, pre- commissioning, commissioning & start- up
- Special tools for erection and maintenance
- Documentation as per vendors documents requirements schedule
- Any other items not listed herein which are necessary for the satisfactory design and operation of the pump sets shall be furnished by vendor.
3.5 Electric Motor Driven Firewater pump Units ( 130- P- 102 A)
The scope of supply for the electric motor driven firewater pump sets shall include, but not be limited
to the following:
- Firewater centrifugal pump complete with components/ accessories
- Electric motor
- Coupling and non- sparking guard
- Fabricated steel skid at extend the pump and motor train components
- Pressure switch (to be mounted on local panel)
- Check valve with orifice in clapper ( 2 sets per each pump) for pressure sensing line
- Circulation relief valve
- Automatic air release valve
- Skid mounted local panel
- Instrumentation and controls within the package limits. All conditions of package type B shall be covered.
- Electrical system within the package limits
- All the required electrical and instrumentation termination junction boxes an/ or LP for connection of incoming and all the interconnecting wiring and cable trays within the skid limits
- All fixtures such as cable glands, shrouds, etc.
- Equipment earthing by externally accessible earthing plates
- Auxiliary piping (sealing, lubrication, cooling, etc.) and supports within the skid limits
- Process, auxiliary and relief valves within the package limits

3.6 Jockey pumps (130-P-101 A/B )
The scope of supply for the firewater jockey pump sets shall include, but not be limited to the following:
- Firewater jockey pump complete with components/ accessories
- Electric motor with earthing terminal in terminal box
- Coupling and non- sparking guard
- Fabricated steel skid to extend the pump and motor train componentsPressure switch (to be mounted on local panel)
- Check valve with orifice in clapper (2 sets per each pump) for pressure sensing line
- Skid mounted local panel
- Instrumentation and controls within the package limits. All conditions of package type B shall be covered.
- Electrical system within the package limits
- All the required electrical and instrumentation termination junction boxes and/ or LP for connection of incoming and all the interconnecting wiring and cable trays within the skid limits
- All fixtures such as cable glands, shrouds, etc.

3.7 The following items shall be considered Optional Items. Separate consolidated proposal for them shall be included in the bid documents package.
- Recommended Spare Parts for Two (2) Years Operation with itemized price list
3.8 The following are out of Vendor’s scope of work/ supply unless otherwise stated in this Specification:
- Site erection work
- Foundation & grouting work
- Insulation materials
- Fireproofing
- Lube oil for initial charge
3.9 Spare Parts
3.9.1 Spare parts erection, pre- commissioning, commissioning and start-up Spare parts for erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start- up shall be supplied and delivered together with the equipment based on the manufacture’s recommendation.
3.9.2 Spare parts for two (2) years operation
Vendor shall establish and submit for approval a detailed list of spare parts recommended for first two (2) years of continuous operation of the plant, specifying quantities, unitary prices and schedule for delivery.
