Expander/Compressor shall conform to the requirements of API Standard 617 7th edition and Job Specification RP 0013 999 1130 0001 Turbo-Expanders Compressors for Petroleum, Chemical and Gas Service Industries and shall include all requirements specified in related Job Specifications and data sheet.
Expander/Compressor shall be capable of operating in automatic mode and stable condition when flow rate varies as specified in data sheet for all cases. Expander/compressor shaft shall be rigid enough so that 1st critical speed shall not fall within specified operating speeds.
Materials to be employed shall be able to resist any specified operating conditions, continuous or discontinuous, normal or emergency, including depressurization and design condition defined on Expander/Compressor data sheets. Material specification for components shall be selected in Vendor shall provide Expander/Compressor performance on a head-flow graph with speed lines, efficiency lines and surge limit. Flange-to-flange isentropic and polytrophic efficiency shall be given.
